OUR PRINCIPAL

"We must strive to do ordinary things extraordinarily well"

– Catherine McAuley

St Mary’s College works together with our parish, families, and local community towards the holistic education of young women. With Christ as our guiding light and in the spirit of Catherine McAuley, we seek to recognise, appreciate, and develop the gifts and talents of all people in our care, in the spirit of partnership, love and service.

Our College is committed to creating a place where students can develop a love of learning and strive to achieve their personal best. Our teachers strive to ensure that we are empowering dedicated and caring young women with excellent educational opportunities and a commitment to the Catholic worldview.

St Mary’s College is a safe and caring environment where students can confidently grow to achieve their full potential. Our motto ‘Misericordia et Sapientia’ promotes care and service to others in the spirit of the Sisters of Mercy with a desire to make a difference to our world. Our students are encouraged to be respectful and compassionate towards others whoever they may be.

I invite you to tour our College and experience the rich diversity and Spirit of Mercy. Our Enrolments Officer is available to guide you through this process and to answer any questions you may have. Inspired by our Mercy Values of Tika, Manaakitanga, Atawhai, Āwhinatanga and Pūaroha, we welcome all families to join us at St Mary’s College.
