St Mary's College (Wellington)

St Mary’s College is a Catholic Integrated Secondary School. Enrolments at St Mary’s College fall under two categories—Preference and Non-Preference. Preference (Catholic) means the applicant qualifies for a preference certificate that is signed by their local Catholic parish priest.

The majority of our roll is made up of preference students. Non-preference students will be accepted up to 10% of the maximum roll, only after all eligible preference students have been accepted, provided that the maximum roll is not exceeded.

2026 Enrolments

Please contact our Enrolment Administrator regarding enrolment enquiries for 2026 by emailing enrolment@stmw.school.nz.

We do not have any NON-PREFERENCE spaces available in 2026.

PREFERENCE applications will be assessed based on space available at each year level.

2027 Enrolments

The application deadline for 2027 Enrolments was on Friday 24 July 2026.

Late applications from non-preference students:

We are not accepting any late applications from non-preference students.

Late applications from preference students:

If your daughter is eligible to apply under the preference criteria, you can submit a late application. However, please note that due to the large number of applications we have already received for 2027, your late application will be held by us, and we will only be able to offer you a place if an existing applicant withdraws, freeing up space for a late applicant. If this happens, we will contact you directly. To submit a late application, please click on the gold button to the right: 'Start Enrolment Application'.

2027 Key Dates For Enrolment

Friday 24 July 2026 - Deadline for 2027 Enrolment applications

Wednesday 29 July 2026 - Enrolment Ballot (if required)

Friday 31 July 2026 - Notifications sent to all applicants regarding application outcome

Term 4, 2026 - Transition interviews and a Transition Day, for accepted applicants.
