School-based charges and contributions are added to students accounts which can be viewed and paid for by caregivers through the caregiver portal.
1. SCHOOL BASED CONTRIBUTION
Parent Voluntary Contribution to the College
$600 for eldest student per annum
$500 for second student per annum
$400 for third student per annum
The Parent Voluntary Contribution to the College goes towards:
General Curriculum: To offer high quality learning opportunities, the College requires additional teaching resources beyond the basics funded by the Ministry of Education. The cost of these types of resources have increased significantly over the past few years and funding from the Ministry is insufficient. The Voluntary Contribution supports the College to offer the best educational opportunities we can to our students.
Technology: St Mary’s College has a sophisticated internal network which enables students to access College course material both at school and from home. We also create access for parents through a parent portal. There are significant ongoing costs associated with maintaining and developing our technology infrastructure and the opportunities it provides. The technology funding we receive from the Ministry is insufficient to cover these costs.
Extracurricular Activities: The costs of equipment, facilities hire and co-curricular activities like music, drama, public speaking, debating, cultural activities, and various student competitions are supported by Voluntary Contributions. Our objective is to achieve high rates of participation in extracurricular activities by partially subsidising their costs, however we also retain a significant user-pays component for specialised activities that have higher costs per person.
2. SCHOOL-BASED CHARGES
School based charges are uploaded to your daughter’s account which can be viewed on the parent portal. School based charges include:

School ID Card (Optional): School ID cards are produced after School Photographs have been taken. The cost of an ID card is $15.00 and once paid, students can collect their student ID card from reception.
Sports Charges (various - pay to play): St Mary’s College has a ‘no pay, no play’ policy. All sports fees must be paid in full to fully participate in the sport. Payment options are available if required along with financial hardship support, however, these must be discussed and agreed in advance with the College Sports Coordinator.
