ARTS & CULTURE
The Arts are powerful forms of expression that recognise, value, and contribute to the unique character of Aotearoa New Zealand, enriching the lives of all New Zealanders.
St Mary’s College provides stimulating opportunities for students from Year 9 to Year 13 in our performing arts and cultural groups. Students are encouraged to take part in a range of activities where they can gain confidence, discover new passions and talents, and meet students from different year levels. Our Arts and Cultural groups are involved with school events and performances in the wider community and they allow students to be inspired by their experiences. In our Visual Arts Learning area we foster curiosity, collaboration and creative thinking. Through the activity of making Art, students manage self, build resilience, push through challenges, recognize diversity and think critically.
