Covid-19 Protection Framework - Red Setting

Unwell?

  • If you’re sick, stay at home.

  • If you become sick at school, we’ll arrange for you to be isolated, and then to go home.

  • If you develop flu-like symptoms, caregivers are to contact GP or Healthline 0800 358 5453.

  • If you have complex medical needs, ask your doctor if you should stay home.

  • If you’re unable to come to school, access your learning materials on your Google Classroom

Safety and Hygiene

  • Face masks must be worn by everyone at school when indoors.

  • Face mask wearing is mandatory on school and public bus services.

  • Exercising and singing must be held outdoors.

  • Sensibly social distance; no touch; no shared breath.

  • Maintain basic hygiene; includes good hand hygiene, cough, and sneeze etiquette, avoid touching your face, and regularly clean and disinfect surfaces.

  • Use hand sanitiser provided when entering and leaving classrooms and shared spaces.

  • Often touched surfaces disinfected daily.

  • Canteen open with safe social distancing and food-handling measures.

  • Food should be eaten outside wherever practicable at Red.

  • Bring your own filled water bottle daily; drinking fountains are open, no mouth to metal.

  • BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) daily, fully charged, including those on loan from school.

  • Library laptops issued at the start of day, returned at the end of day for cleaning.

Routines

  • Our day begins at 8:45am on a Monday and Friday.

  • The remaining days of the week we start at 9:00am.

  • School finishes at 3:20pm every day.

  • School Sport and EOTC activities to be assessed on a case-by-case health and safety risk analysis.

  • No large gatherings such as School Assemblies unless held outdoors.

Especially for Caregivers

  • Essential visitors only; all visitors to wear face masks.

  • Visitors sign in and out at the school office.

  • Visitors scan displayed QR Tracer Codes.

  • If your child is sick, please keep them at home.

  • If your child is sick, please contact the school office.

  • If your child is sick, please contact your GP or phone Healthline 0800 358 5453.

  • The first point of contact for all other matters is your child’s Mentor Teacher.

  • Essential information will be emailed to caregivers, with an APP Alert.
