Rugby Union 7’s 2025

Rugby Union Sevens takes place after the Winter rugby Union season has finished, through the end of Term 3 and through Term 4.

TEAMS IN 2025:

- Junior team/s to compete in Under 15 Sevens Tournament, One Day Tournament

- Open team to compete in Wellington School's Sevens, One Day Tournament (Qualifying Tournament for Condor Nationals)

TOURNAMENT DATES: 

• Under 15 Sevens - 27 October, at Naenae College
• Wellington School's Sevens, Open Team - 27 October, at Naenae College. This tournament is the qualifier for Condor Nationals.
• Condor Nationals (Open Team), if the team qualifies - 29 + 30 November, at Blake Park, Mt Maunganui 

MANAGEMENT TEAMS: To be Confirmed

TRAINING: To be Confirmed. In the lead up to training the coaches ask that you are doing some of your own conditioning. Skills such as passing, tackling etc will be taught. 

UNIFORM:  Playing jersey is provided. Players will need black shorts, black socks and a mouth guard.

COST: $30 per player for the One Day Tournaments

If the Open Team qualifies for the Condor Nationals there will also be additional costs to attend this tournament, which could be around $500+. If you are selected for this team, you will need to commit to attending the tournament. Please consider this when registering interest for this team.
