St Mary's College Wellington is one of NZ's oldest schools, providing quality education to young women in Wellington for over 170 years. It is a Decile 9 secondary school with up to 620 students.
St Mary's College is committed to embracing innovative approaches to teaching and learning within the Catholic and Mercy ethos. We have a strong tradition of academic excellence, cultural, sporting success, and personal learning experiences for our students.
In August 2021, St Mary's College and the Board of Proprietors launched the new St Mary's College Alumni. With the sole purpose to build and sustaining a dynamic, lifelong community with our current and former students, parents, caregiver, current and past staff, and the wider community. The Alumni have expanded, and we now support Friends of St Mary's College, STMW Angels Group and our Archives team.
We want to be able to work together to ensure that all future students benefit from the knowledge and wisdom of those that have been here before you, to create a real sense of an enduring wider community that encompasses the college, and to celebrate what it means to have been proud to wear the black blazer.
